The foundational concept for Assembrix solidified in 2014, when my co-founder, Prof. Dan Halperin, and I recognized the explosive growth of industrial 3D printing. Leveraging my extensive background in cybersecurity, our collective vision was clear: to develop a platform that could fundamentally “virtualize” the entire additive manufacturing space. Our goal was to create an environment where industrial 3D printing operations would be as simple to manage, as protected against threats, and as universally trustworthy as leading cloud computing services are in other established industries. This foundational principle of combining advanced manufacturing capabilities with ironclad security protocols became the cornerstone of Assembrix.
