Using a method called multi-photon lithography, these tiny robots are 3D printed at micro scale. Micro 3D printing is a rather new segment of additive manufacturing that companies are starting to explore for multiple applications. Swarms of these 3D printed micro robots could work together. One day, they could be used inside our body to treat diseases for example. This is what Georgia Tech researchers are working toward.
