What is the Takeaway From ADDITIV Medical World?

As you probably know, the first ever edition of ADDITIV Medical World took place on June 6th, 2023. The half-day event was an opportunity to bring together the worlds of 3D printing and healthcare and discuss and learn with leading professionals from both fields as we explored the intersection of the sectors. Indeed, with over 500 registrants for the event, it is safe to say that the interest is there. Critically, the event showed the importance of additive manufacturing in medicine and dentistry. With special thanks of course to our sponsors and partners, including Prodways, SPE, SPE Additive Manufacturing, IAM3DHUB, ASTM International, ASME, AMGTA and Wevolver, without whom the event would not have been possible.

Attendees were able to delve into various topics centered on this intersection with 3 panel discussions and 3 workshops with experts in many different disciplines. Networking was also a highlight as over 162 relationships were started between attendees, with people coming from 72 countries. Moreover on average those who came spent nearly two hours at the event. The panel discussions and workshops were one of the highlights of the event as speakers from very different background were able to come together to share their expertise. Notably, we were able to welcome representatives from the Mayo Clinic, Durham University, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Zahn Dental, Field Ready, ASTM International, Korthotics, TissueLabs, Boston Children’s Hospital and much more.
