BigRep Unveils ALTRA 280 and IPSO 105

We begin our 3DExpress update with BigRep, which announced this week the addition of two new solutions to its portfolio. The ALTRA 280 and the IPSO 105 are high-temperature FFF 3D printers designed to open up new fields of application. Both models are fast, reliable, accurate, and highly automated, making them ideal for producing industrial-quality large-format components that meet the demands of the most rigorous industries. Featuring an open material system, the ALTRA 280 offers a slightly larger build volume compared to the IPSO 105. These printers result from BigRep’s acquisition of the Austrian company HAGE3D and were previously known in Europe as PRECISE and MEX. “We are proud to extend our portfolio towards high-performance filament extrusion with our open system approach, thereby aiming to double the addressable market of our solutions with the technology from HAGE3D, our recently announced planned acquisition,” said Sven Thate, CEO of BigRep GmbH. Both 3D printers are already on sale in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
