Top 1: Treating breast cancer

Women in Australia, might soon find a new way to be treating breast cancer. Through 3D technology make the treatment more effective. In fact, a professor from the University of Queensland 3D printed several scaffolds of the breast shape of the patient. Once implanted, it is filled with stem cells that will rebuild the patient’s breast. This new solution has so far been successfully tested on animals and could see the light of day within the next four years. It joins other initiatives taken for treating breast cancer as well.

Top 2: 3D printed helmets

A group of students from the University College of London have developed a new 3D printed helmet. The new design is specifically designed for cyclists created with a honey comb structure, and each helmet is customised to the individual. the new 3D printed helmet is revolutionising the original design created in the 60s. This first of a kind helmet is a breakthrough for a cyclists out there.
