This week we found the top 5 videos about 3D printing and the way additive manufacturing is shaping our society. The technology has infiltrated many sectors, from medical to automotive! Check out our selection of the week to keep up with the innovations! This week we touch on HP’s MJF technology, 3D printing in the fashion industry and much more! If you enjoy these, you can view even more 3D printing videos on our Youtube channel. Hope you’ll enjoy and have a great Sunday!

Top 1: Creating realistic medical models

The manufacturer Stratasys has developed a solution designed for all doctors who want to create very realistic models: the J750 Digital Anatomy now allows you to combine different materials to study each of our organs and bones. The Jacob Institute has invested in Stratasys machines for the past 5 years and this additive manufacturing system allows it to report the bio-mechanical accuracy of each part of the body. The models created can then reproduce the exact behavior of our organs, for example, by including liquids to imitate the blood that circulates, or by playing with the thickness of walls to realize the fragility of a given part. It is a tool that is revolutionizing surgical understanding:

Top 2: Sports and additive manufacturing

The players in the motor sport market must be innovative, constantly looking for the best performance. This is where additive manufacturing has a real card to play: it allows the creation of complex, lightweight, temperature resistant components, all in a relatively short time. HP’s 3D printing solutions are capable of designing parts and tooling to enhance a car’s performance and meet a racer’s needs. For example, the machine came to create a custom mold to produce a silicone steering wheel so that the racer’s gloves don’t slip during the race:
