3DN: What are the new features of Houston Maker Faire 2017? (what has changed? what is new?, etc)

We are adding more presentations and workshops this year. One of the major workshops will be focus on Raspberry Pi electronics. The Workshop will be called a Raspberry Jam and will teach the process of programming a low cost computer. Houston has one of the largest Raspberry Pi communities in the world and the local hobbyists will showcase their Raspberry Pi creations.

3DN: Can you tell us what this event is for? (What is the goal/aim of the event? Is there a specific theme?, etc)

The Houston Maker Faire is a gathering of fascinating, curious people who enjoy learning and who love sharing what they can do. From engineers to artists to scientists to crafters, Maker Faire is a venue for these “makers” to show hobbies experiments and projects.
