Bentley is known for designing and building exceptional vehicles using the finest materials. As early as 2022, the company showcased its applications of 3D printing precious metals with a range of 18-karat yellow gold parts for the Batur, which was a first in the automotive industry. In the same year, Bentley then announced a £3 million investment to double its 3D printing capacity at its headquarters in Crewe, UK, converting CAD models into physical parts – with the aim of producing bespoke components in small quantities.
The latest project from Bentley is “The Black Rose”, a special edition of its Batur that contains parts made of 3D printed solid rose gold. The Black Rose is one of 18 limited edition Baturs and features 18-carat rose gold at key points of contact with the driver. This is the first use of three-dimensionally printed rose gold in an ultimate grand tourer.

Each Black Rose is unique and offers extensive customization options for the interior and exterior
The $2.1 million limited edition vehicle features a custom exterior paint finish with satin rose gold accents and a matching interior. The Black Rose also owes its name to the exterior paintwork: the roof is black, and this dark shade is complemented by satin rose gold accents on the front, sides and rear, a color combination you don’t see every day on the road.
